Sense LinkedVape Arrow 230W TC

Are you ready for the first vape mod with strobe light? That's right, real stroboscopic light effects whenever you blow out those puffy clouds? The Sense LinkedVape Arrow 230W TC starter kit will have you ready to party in no time and with really good overall vape performance too. Of course it's a bit gimmicky but the mod does look pretty good and the stock tank was a really nice surprise.

What you get with the Arrow

The kit comes packed in a standard cardboard box and inside you will find lots of goodies. First we have the 230W device, the Heracles 3 sub ohm tank with the 0.6 Ohm coil pre-installed, a spare 0.4 Ohm coil, micro-USB cable, extra glass, spare parts, a 510 drip tip adapter and the user manual. The product is available in two colors – Blue nebula and Red nebula.

An interesting box mod design

The Sense LinkedVape Arrow 230W TC is like a combination between a SMOK Majesty and a Sense V-Jet and feels very well built. Has a nice 25mm spring loaded 510 connector on top as well as six strobe LED lights right next to it. Fire button and LED activation button are placed on the side and the color display, adjustment buttons and the micro-USB port on the front. The battery door has that nice "push to open" mechanism and it's located on the base.

The two panels are glossy and beautiful. They are made from some sort of acrylic paint and the finish is very nice. They are not resin or stabilized wood but they give the mod a luxurious vibe.

The device requires two high drain 18650 batteries and the polarities are clearly indicated on the door.

Sense Linked Vape Arrow mod and tank

The Cortex M4 Chipset

The Sense LinkedVape Arrow 230W TC is powered by the new Cortex M4 Chipset. This is a super responsive board and features firmware upgrades. Variable wattage ranges is between 7 – 230W and minimum atomizer resistance is 0.1 Ohms. We also get temperature control for Nickel, Titanium, Stainless Steel as well as TCR support. Temperature can be adjusted between 200 – 600F.

Safety features include low resistance, short circuit, low voltage, and overheating protections.

TFT color display and six strobe lights

The six strobe lights are placed on top of the device and they only activate after you take a puff. Simply press the black button after you take your finger from the fire button and a burst of colored light will make your vapor glow in the dark. It's something we've never seen before and it's pretty cool if you're the sort of person who loves to party. There are over 30 color combinations to choose from and everything is fully customizable.

The other key feature of the Sense LinkedVape Arrow 230W TC is its color TFT display. This is bright, easy to read and shows detailed info about current operating mode, output wattage or temperature, output Mah, output voltage, atomizer resistance, and puff duration. It also monitors the two batteries in real time.

The Heracles 3 tank is a nice surprise

The new Heracles sub ohm tank comes with a resin style drip tip as well as a 510 adapter. It has a diameter of 24mm and works with the same coils as the V-Jet. Besides the 0.4 Ohm and the 0.6 Ohm version found with the kit there's also the 0.2 Ohm SS316 head that's intended for temperature control.

Total capacity is 4.5ml and it also features top fill and adjustable airflow control. The 0.4 Ohm coil is our favorite in terms of vapor production and flavor and we used with e-liquids up to 80% VG.

Arrow: Overall performance

The Sense LinkedVape Arrow 230W TC is where style meets gimmick and it's a pretty cool combination. We found the strobe lights to be bright and colorful and they produce a really nice effect each time you exhale. It makes you feel in the dance ring and it's definitely a product intended towards the under 30-year audience.

Overall build quality is great, vapor production and flavor are very good and the board is responsive and accurate. Temperature control works without flaw and the tank was a nice surprise. Sadly, due to its design, it only works with atomizers up to 25mm in diameter.
