The first mod and starter kit we review from this Chinese company and we’re really impressed. The Sense V-Jet 230W TC kit is a solid performer, ready go to head to head with any of the industry leaders. Mostly known for the high quality sub ohm tanks, looks like Sense decided to step up its game.
Colorful screen and nice UI
Cannot adjust wattage in TC mode
The kit includes the V-Jet mod and tank and it’s in the same league as the Vaporesso Revenger or the Procolor from SMOK. High power, high quality cloud machines with flawless temperature control and packed with all the modern features.
Packaging and contents
The Sense V-Jet 230W TC kit comes packed in a white box which feels premium. Inside you will find the mod, the tank fitted with the 0.6 Ohm coil, a spare 0.4 Ohm coil, spare glass, spare O-rings and gasket, micro-USB cable and the user manual. The cool thing about the user manual as that it’s also a poster once you unfold it. Also the kit comes in multiple colors - black, red, blue, green - and the tank matches the lines on the device.
General features and design
This mod measures 87mm x 46mm x 29mm and you can use it with atomizers up to 28mm on top. Everything sits nice and flush apart from the V-jet tank. This one leaves a small gap in order no to scratch the area around the connector. It’s not the end of the world but it’s not very OCD friendly.
On top of the Sense V-Jet 230W TC we have the solid 510 connector, while the fire button is located on the main side. On the face of the mod we can see a beautiful color display, the three adjustment buttons and the micro-USB port. The battery door is on the bottom and has that nice slide to unlock mechanism.
Colored user interface and really nice menu
Menu and user interface are really nice and the standby screen shows the date and time just like on modern smartphones. The mod has everything from temperature control and TCR to power curves and much more. It’s simple to use, very intuitive, and you can even change the background color of the display. The only downside is that you cannot adjust your wattage in temperature control mode.
The V-Jet tank is quite impressive
The Sense V-Jet Tank tank you get with this kit is a solid performer. It has a total capacity of 4.5ml and features hinged top fill. It comes with all the spare parts you need as well as two really good coils. Both the 0.4 Ohm and the 0.6 Ohm are excellent for clouds and flavor and they give best results between 40 - 100W. Our sweet spot was at 55W for the 0.6 Ohm coil and at 70W for the 0.6 Ohm. Airflow is fully adjustable and the bottom diameter is 24mm.
Performance and our final thoughts
When it comes to performance, the Sense V-Jet 230W TC is well built kit with stellar performance and all the features one might need. Powered by two 18650 batteries the mod reaches a whopping 230W and you can use it with RDAs and tanks up to 28mm in diameter. The V-Jet tank work with 0.4 and 0.6 Ohm coils, but you can also buy a 0.2 Ohm version, which delivers even more vapor. The only downsides are not being able to adjust wattage in TC mode and the gap left by the V-Jet tank even when fully screwed in.
