The OBS Draco kit hides a lot of power under its hood. This vape pen is fueled by a whopping 3000mAh battery and features some of the best mesh coils the industry has to offer. It’s pocket friendly, affordable and great for chasing clouds. We tested it with both regular and high VG e-liquids and the experience was absolutely incredible.

What you get with the Draco kit
Like many of the company’s products, you will receive the OBS Draco kit in a orange presentation box. Inside you will find the battery, the Draco tank, two coils, an extra glass section, the USB cable and user manual.
There are two color options to choose from: Stainless Steel and Black and they both look stunning.
Design of the OBS Draco vape pen
The OBS Draco vape pen has a height of 130mm when fully assembled and weighs around 140 grams. The overall diameter is 24mm and this makes it both hand and pocket friendly. It has a nice grip to it and the fire button is ideally placed towards the top of the mod.
We have a side micro-USB slot for charging and a spring loaded 510 connector up top. The Draco sub ohm tank fits perfectly on the mod and we really love the blue O-rings. It comes with a comfortable 810 style drip tip but you can always use your own.
It’s slightly smaller than the SMOK Resa Stick , but carries a more powerful battery.
Main features of the OBS Draco starter kit
The OBS Draco starter kit is simple yet very capable. It features one button operation and it takes 5 clicks to turn the device on or off.
The button has an outer LED notification light, that also acts as the battery indicator. When it shows green it has over 3.8V. Blue means the battery is under half its voltage and Red means it’s time to plug it in. It takes around 4h to get the battery back to 100% when using a standard USB wall adapter.
The device also comes with multiple built-in safety features. Besides the standard 10-second cut off interval it also has low voltage protection, short-circuit protection and overcharge protection.
The cloud chucking Draco sub ohm tank
With the OBS Draco kit you receive the 24mm Draco sub ohm tank. This has a capacity of 2.0ml with the standard glass section, which can be extended to 3.5ml with the bubble attachment. It features top fill, adjustable airflow and a very nice wide bore drip tip.
There are two coils compatible with the Draco: the M1 mesh coil and the standard 0.3 Ohm OCC coil.
The mesh coil was our favorite out of the two and this one has a resistance of 0.2 Ohms. It delivers the best performance between 35 - 70W and copes well with high VG juices.
Unfortunately there’s no way to adjust the wattage on your Draco pen, however it will do this automatically based on resistance and voltage. According to the OBS website, it has a maximum output of 80W and we’re pretty sure this is what you get when the battery is between 80 - 100% full.
There is however a noticeable drop in vapor production as soon as the button turns blue. This becomes even more obvious when it reaches the lower red limit. It’s not a deal breaker, but it’s something we need to point out.
Performance and thoughts on the OBS Draco vape pen kit
The OBS Draco kit is a simple and intuitive vape pen that packs a very strong punch. It’s powered by a generous 3000mAh battery and features a low profile tank with great mesh coils. Flavor and vapor are excellent on this bad boy and the build quality is really impressive in this price range.
We didn't find any cons apart from the fiddly top cap design. Due to the limited number of threads it has a unique way of fitting into place and you often need to play with it until it makes a proper seal.
We would have also loved a bigger capacity tank. Even with the bubble glass attachment it holds only 3.5ml of e-juice and that’s not enough for a day at the office.
