In terms of performance it has quite an accurate board (which shares some features with the iStick 100W) and I didn't encounter any issues while using it. I didn't go as high as 200W but I did use it at around 145W with a dual Clapton build on my Moonshot RTA. I would recommend buying three new batteries with this mod rather than using the two already have and a new one (or other such combinations). It's highly recommended that you use the same model from the same manufacturer and always recharge them at the same time.
By far the most powerful vaping device released by Eleaf, the iStick 200W comes with a couple of technological novelties as well as one very interesting design, and if you're familiar with Wismec's Reuleaux, then this is something that stands out in the same kind of way.
It's one of the most affordable 200W mods on the market today and it has upgradeable firmware as well as support for Ni, Ti, SS and TCR. The latest addition to the iStick family also has an innovative streamlined shape which makes it very fashionable in appearance and comes in is available in three different colors – white, black and gray.
The Eleaf iStick 200W comes packed in a standard white and green cardboard box and inside you will find the mod itself, a user manual and a micro-USB cable. It is powered by three 18650 batteries (sold separately) and while you could use the micro-USB cable to recharge them inside the mod, I always recommend using an external charger (something like a Nitecore or Xstarr). Also if you're not 100 percent sure which batteries to pick for your 200W mod then you can always take a look at the small guide I wrote a few weeks ago.
On the top of the mod there's a spring loaded 510 connector that's slightly aligned towards the face of the device and going down we see the fire button, the OLED display, the two adjustment buttons, the mode select button, and the micro-USB slot. All of the buttons are made from plastic but have a really nice click to them as well as enough resistance for a great feedback.
The battery door is located on the base of the Eleaf iStick 200W and it's designed very similarly to the one on my DSLR camera. You simply slide to open and the door pops out with no effort at all. Inside you can see the slots for the three 18650 batteries and the fact that they are connected in series, with the middle one having the positive pin towards the base and the other two towards the top of the mod.
It measures 58 x 38 x 85mm and it has a smooth metallic finish to it. It's a fairly heavy device with all the batteries inside and well balanced but it takes a bit to get used to the whole design. However, once you get a good grip it's one of the best form factors for people who like to use their thumbs to fire the mod.
By pressing the 'mod' button you can easily scroll through all of the TC modes (Ni, Ti, SS, TCR-m1, TCR-m2, and TCR-m3) and eventually reach variable wattage again. You can also adjust the wattage in temperature control mode, which is always a big plus in my book. The Eleaf iStick 200W can go from 1-200W in 1W increments and it can fire as lows as 0.1 Ohms in VW mode (0.05 Ohms in TC mode).
You can adjust the TCR values, flip the screen and lock your device by using various combinations of buttons which you can read about in the detailed user manual. You can also check out the temperature of the board and the firmware version of your device. At the time of this review there weren't any upgrades available on the Eleaf website but I'm sure these will come in the future.
The Eleaf iStick 200W is a sleek looking powerhouse that's ideal for your 25mm RTAs (like the Griffin or the VCMT). It also looks great with any 22mm RDA or RTA on top of it, however you will have a small gap between the mod and the atty on some models with a protruding positive 510.
