In terms of performance, the iStick 100W is an absolute choo choo train and it can deliver clouds like no other device from the series. At 60W it already produces enough vapor to fill your room in seconds when you are using it with a sub-ohm tank. I paired with an iSub G, but Eleaf recommends you using their latest iJust 2 Atomizer.
Together with the iStick 40W TC we got a few weeks ago, we also received a brand new model from Eleaf, which apparently is the company’s most powerful advanced personal vaporizer to date.  It clearly does not resemble the previous models, but it’s built with the same attention to details and high quality materials as all the iStick series. So without further ado, let’s take a closer look at the iStick 100W, a mod built especially for cloud chasers and for all of those who want to take things to the very next level with their vape.
The iStick 100W comes packed in white and green box, with the a big picture of the device on top. Inside the box you will find the mod itself, a user’s manual, a micro-USB charging cable, and a 510 to eGo adapter. The device measures roughly 25mm * 55mm* 100mm, so it’s bigger than all the other iStick products but a lot lighter, but we will get to that soon enough. It comes in only two choices of color – black and silver and the body is made from good quality aluminum. The finish is gorgeous and the mod really stands out in terms of design.
On the top we have the stainless steel threaded 510 connection with the spring loaded center pin, that’s located towards the back of the mod, just like in the case of the 40W version. Then on the main side we have the firing button (which is round), the OLED display, and the two (+) / (-) adjustment buttons that are also round this time. On the faces of the mod there are a series of venting holes for both the batteries and the chip, and they really add a note of elegance. The battery door fits in places with magnets and they are very powerful so you don’t have to worry about it coming loose.
Now, I did mention it was lighter than the previous models, and this is because the iStick 100W is the first device of the series that doesn’t come with a built in battery. Instead it’s powered by two external high drain 18650 batteries, which you will have to purchase separately. The batteries are placed in parallel, with both positive poles oriented in the same direction. If you plan on buying a set of batteries I would definitely recommend choose the new 35A models.
But unlike a couple of other dual 18650 mods, you can use the supplied micro-USB cable to charge the batteries while they are inside the device, so there’s no need for an extra charger unless you plan on using two sets of cells. Unfortunately, same as on the 40W TC model, the charging port is located on the base, so you will have to unscrew your RDA when your batteries are depleted, because the mod can’t stand upright and charge. It does however offer pass-through capabilities so you will be able to vape on it while it’s charging by using a tank.
Same as on all of the series, to power on the iStick 100W you will need to press the main button five consecutive times. Two switch between variable wattage and variable voltage, press the same button three times. The display indicates, from left to right, the remaining battery charge, the atomizer resistance, the output voltage, and the current wattage setting. The display can be flipped for left hand users and the device also has a stealth mode.
In variable wattage mode it can go from 5.0W to 100W and in variable voltage mode from 2.0V to 10.0V, so it packs plenty of power. Also the device can fire as low as 0.15 Ohm so you will be able to use it with any of the recently released sub-ohm tanks. The maximum resistance it can handle is 5.0 Ohms. The great thing about this mod is that it can read the resistance with a precision of two decimal places, which is clearly useful when you’re trying to reach 0.15 Ohms.
