What you get in the Driptech DS box
The Driptech DS Dual 18650 Squonker comes packed in black cardboard presentation box. Inside you will find the mod itself, two squonk bottles, a bag of spares, a screwdriver, a tool for the battery doors, as well as the user manual. Available colors include Silver, Blue, Red, Black and Green.
Driptech DS design and features
The Driptech DS Dual 18650 Squonker is designed from lightweight anodized aluminum. The finish is beautiful and the paint job looks quite durable. It measures 85mm x 62mm x 25mm and it can accommodate atomizers up to 24mm on top without overhang. To be fair you can even get away with some 25mm atties.
On top of the mod we have the 510 squonking pin as well as the fire button. The connector is beautiful and shiny because all contacts on this device have been plated with 24K gold. The button feels super smooth and it's placed on top for more convenience. On the bottom we have the bottle slot as well as the two battery slots.
The squonk bottle is flexible and easy to use. It features a stainless steel feeding pin and two O-rings on top. The installation is plug and play and everything fits together nice and snug. Capacity is 10ml and this is more than enough for a full day of vaping, even at low resistances and with complex builds.
A great unregulated, parallel 18650 squonk mod
This awesome squonk vape mod is powered by two 18650 batteries working in parallel. This means both the plus and minus polarities will enter the device in the same direction. This allows for lower ohm builds as well as improved autonomy.
Because the Driptech DS Dual 18650 Squonker is unregulated we don't recommend it to beginners. Users need to understand Ohm's Laws of electricity and how everything works before building their own coils on a device like this. Because the batteries are placed in parallel it does offer extra safety but there's no room for error when dealing with mechanical mods.
Driptech DS vape: Performance
Since the Driptech DS Dual 18650 Squonker is an unregulated device, performance mainly depends on the build and airflow settings. However, the build quality, machining and overall experience is top notch. This is hands down one of the best squonk mods on the market and a product we recommend to pro users mostly. It feels comfortable in the hand; the button is smooth and the bottle just perfect. You do get a tool for the battery doors and a screwdriver to take the whole thing apart so that's another pro. We mostly used it with our Dead Rabbit RDA and the performance was off the charts.
