The VaporFi VOX Mini is a mid-range compact box mod that works with high precision and delivers some really impressive clouds with the proper tank on top of it. The maximum wattage of 40W is enough in my opinion for the majority of users who would purchase this sort of device and I've mainly used it between 15 and 25W with my Subtank Mini. The battery can last for a whole day if you're not a heavy vaper and the build quality is great. My only con is that it doesn't have temperature control.
VaporFi VOX Mini review
I did a review on the VOX II Mod a while back and was impressed with the performance so the news of a brand new device from VaporFI really sparked my curiosity. And this time it's something slightly similar in power but in a more compact form factor and it's called the VaporFi VOX Mini 40W. It doesn't have temperature control, but the build quality on it is more than impressive and it can also be purchased as a bundle deal alongside one of three available tanks.
The VaporFi VOX Mini comes packed in the same white and green presentation box that the company has used on many of its recent products and inside you are going to find the mod itself, a USB charger and a user's manual. The mod is metallic silver and has a nice finish to it, with all the controls being located on the main side. It measures roughly 82mm x 35mm x 22mm and it's very comfortable to hold and to use.
On the top side of the VaporFi VOX Mini there's the spring loaded 510 stainless steel connector that comes with a couple of air channels for those older tanks with the airflow from the bottom. On the main side we have the rectangular firing button, the OLED display, and the two plus / minus adjustment buttons. The company clearly took into consideration its senior vaping customers because the buttons are big and the operating mode is very intuitive. The display is generous and it shows the remaining battery, atomizer resistance, output voltage, and current wattage. I did however have a few issues when reading the screen under direct sunlight but I guess it's because of the glossy finish.

One of the main differences with respect to the VOX II Mod is the fact that the Mini is powered by a non-removable internal battery that's rated at 2,500mAh and can deliver a maximum current of 35A. It can also go from 7W all the way up to 40W in 0.1W increments. A great feature about this device is that it can be used while charging so there's no need to wait 2h without your favorite flavor.
The VaporFi VOX Mini is clearly a mod aimed at beginners or intermediate vapers who are making the 
switch from a cig-a-like or an eGo. It's reasonably powerful and it can deliver a very satisfying vaping experience, especially when paired with one of VaporFI's line of tanks like the Rebel, the Volt Hybrid or the Vice Sub Ohm. It can also work with other tanks, RDAs or RTAs as long as they have a maximum diameter of 22mm (purely from aesthetic considerations). The device can work with resistances as low as 0.3 Ohms and as high as 3.0 Ohms.
The mod also has several safety features from the vented battery casing to all sorts of electronic protections such as low resistance, low voltage and short circuit protection. It can also automatically find the ideal voltage to use with a new build on your RDA or RBA. It also turns itself off automatically after around 30 minutes of idle to conserve battery power.
