Asvape Michael
Beautiful dual 18650 box mod
In terms of performance the Asvape Michael scores pretty high thanks to its powerful and highly accurate VO200 Chip. We mostly used it in power mode and we were more than satisfied with the output and general feel of the device. The finish is just sublime and despite the big size and small problems it’s still one of our favorite devices of 2017.
8.6 Ecigguides Editors' Rating

The Asvape Michael is one of the most beautiful mods we ever got the chance to test here and it quickly became of our top favorites. This comic-book themed device not only looks outstanding but also has a lot of power under the hood. It’s the result of a collaboration between Asvape and VO Tech and it’s driven by the advanced VO200 Chip. With a price tag of just under $110 it’s not a product for every pocket but it’s definitely something that will get you noticed.

What you get inside the Asvape Micheal box

The vape mod comes packed in a lovely cardboard gift box and inside you will also find a micro-USB cable for charging and upgrades and the user manual. It measures 91mm x 60mm x 28mm and has pretty good ergonomics. The finish is rubberized and the device is a pleasure to hold and use. Button placement is just perfect and the attention to detail is just like you would expect from a premium product. We have beautiful engravings all around the 510 connector, on the bottom plate as well as on the fire button.

Asvape Michael design and usability

The connector is located on top of the Asvape Michael and features a spring loaded, gold plated pin. On the main side we have the round fire button, the OLED display, adjustments button and micro-USB slot. The battery door is located on the base and it has a slide-to-open mechanism, with a magnet holding it in place. Since this is a dual 18650 mod we recommend getting two high drain cells from well-known manufacturers like Sony or LG.

Asvape Michael top viewThe Asvape Michael is a variable wattage device that goes between 5 - 200W. It also features temperature control for Nickel, Titanium, Stainless Steel and TCR and has a Bypass mode. Minimum resistance is 0.08 Ohms and you can also use a user-editable power curve to pre-heat the coil. Firmware is upgrade-able and with the VO Editor Program you can upload your custom logos to the device.

We have to mention the menu system on this mod takes a bit to get used to and we regularly found ourselves clicking buttons at random just to exit certain sub-menus during tests. We eventually got everything as we wanted but it wasn’t as easy as on other products in this price range. Also the battery door has a very annoying click each time you put the device on the table or touch the base with your finger. However it doesn’t rattle during use and it never popped open by accident.

Former pack-a-day smoker, I discovered electronic cigarettes back in 2011. Since then vaping has slowly turned into my hobby and my full time job. I’ve tested hundreds of e-cigarettes and mods across the years and constantly used my knowledge and experience to help others make the switch. I’m passionate about technology, I enjoy reading and I love big flavorful clouds.
