Joyetech eGo AIO ECO review | First vape pen kit for nicotine salts

This sleek vape pen combines a tight mouth to lung draw with really good sub ohm coils and a constant 1.85V output voltage. The end result is a very satisfactory overall experience, similar to that from a pod mod. Battery life is outstanding for a device this small and it can last even for a full day if you're using 50mg e-liquids.

What you get with the AIO ECO pen

The Joyetech eGo AIO ECO comes packed in a regular cardboard presentation box. Inside you will find the tiny AIO, two 0.5 Ohm coils, a bag of spares, a micro-USB cable and the user manual. Available color options include red, grey, green, blue, and black.

The design of the AIO ECO

If you have the old Joyetech eGo AIO in mind, think again. This tiny vape pen measures 113mm in height and the diameter is only 14mm. The tank is partially integrated with the battery; however the glass tube is fully exposed. There's no 510 connector or anything, we just have a coil that screws directly into the battery and the tank comes on top of it.

The design is pretty simple with the Joyetech eGo AIO ECO but at the same time it's quite ingenious. It consists of the battery, the coil, the glass tube and the top cap. The coil acts also as the chimney section and goes a bit over the tube. The top cap screws onto the upper section of the coil with one twist. This prevents pressure from forming inside the tank and keeps the coil from getting flooded. The top cap also includes the mouthpiece, which is made from Delrin with stainless steel inserts.

The battery has a single button as well as a micro-USB slot on the side. It's rated for 650mAh and it takes around 1h to fully charge. Total weight of the device is little under 40 grams.

There are two types of mouthpieces intended for the Joyetech eGo AIO ECO vape pen starter kits. Standard one you get with the kit has a looser draw, while the one you can buy separately offers a tighter draw. For some reason Joyetech decided to sell that separately when they could have easily included in the kit. However, the draw on the standard mouthpiece is still pretty tight. Not as tight as on a JUUL device but clearly in the same category.

The ECO coils

With the Joyetech eGo AIO ECO you get two 0.5 Ohm coils. These require a bit of priming but they deliver great flavor and vapor. But most importantly they deliver a consistent experience all throughout a full battery charge. The draw is excellent for mouth to lung pulls and it's a device not intended for chain vaping. We recommend 50/50 mixes for best performance and nicotine concentrations between 6 – 12mg for freebase nic and between 35 – 50mg for nic salts. The tank will hold between 1.0 – 1.2ml of e-liquid.

Performance and final words on the AIO ECO from Joyetech

When it comes to performance the Joyetech eGo AIO ECO is the ultimate pod killer. It's much easier to refill than open system pod kits and offers the same – if not better – performance. It's also incredibly cheap and perfect for any beginner trying to make the switch. It's lightweight, portable and simple to use. Coils deliver great flavor and vapor and battery life is pretty impressive for a device this small. As a matter of fact it comes very close to the Auto Zeus pen. You don't get a spare glass tube with the kit as well as the tighter mouthpiece, so these are the only two cons we found.

Also we've read reviews from people saying that some coils last for a very short period of time. We refilled ours the fourth time and didn't come across this issue, but it's something worth mentioning. Just make sure to prime the coil with 3 – 4 drops of e-liquid before putting it inside the tank.
