In terms of performance it chucks clouds like a real champ and the temperature control feature works like a charm. It's compact, easy to use and with replaceable 18650 batteries (sold separately) you are looking at around 2-3 days of heavy vaping before adding more e-juice.

Our Review On The Kanger Nebox

I have to say I was a big fan of the e-Grip when it was first released on the market and I used to carry mine around everywhere I went. And since in the last few weeks I've seen numerous ads for the new Nebox, I thought – man, this looks like an e-grip on steroids, I have to have one. The Nebox is Kanger's latest product and it's a big 'all in one' box mod that comes with an RBA base and Temperature Control.

Kanger Nebox mods different colorsThe Kanger Nebox comes in a wide range of beautiful colors, including Black, White, Red and Blue and it has a massive 10ml tank for plenty of autonomy. As opposed to the e-Grip, this is powered by a replaceable 18650 battery and it can fire as low as 0.15 Ohms. With the Delrin drip tip on top it's a thing of beauty and a solid performer, so let's dive in and check out the box contents.

What you are getting in the box

First of all the box comes in the same color as the mod, and it's very similar to the one from the Subox Mini, Nano or Cupti. Inside you are going to find the Nebox itself with a preinstalled Nickel coil, a user's manual, a quick guide, a few battery stickers (like on the Subox), a micro-USB charging cable, a spare SSOCC coil (Stainless Steel Organic Cotton Coil), a drip tip, an RBA base, a bag of goodies for the RBA base (the legendary blue small screwdriver, some coils and screws), and some organic Japanese cotton.

The first thing you'll notice about the Kanger Nebox is the small height, which is very similar to a Subox Mini, without the tank on top. And because on the Nebox the tank is fitted inside the mod the only thing on top of it is the Delrin drip tip, which makes it ideal for all those vapers who like to carry their mods inside their pockets. No more bent 510 connectors and no more broken glass tanks, this is probably the philosophy behind this future best seller. The device is  made from a combination between aluminum alloy and zinc alloy.

On the top of the Nebox there's the drip tip and going down on the main side we do notice the firing Kanger Nebox black box contents button, the LCD display, the two plus/minus adjustment buttons and the micro-USB charging port. The configuration is very similar to the Subox, with the exception that the charging port has been fitted vertically. On the base we have the tank cap, where you can swap the coils of fill the mod with e-liquid, and the battery door. The battery door comes with a small groove for your fingernail or coin and it's very easy to unscrew. However, when putting it back together with a battery inside I found to operation to be rather tricky at times, mainly because they didn't use the same material on the threading as in the case of the tank.

Available operation modes

The Kanger Nebox is very easy to operate and we have three available modes – regular variable wattage mode, Temperature Control – Nickel and Temperature Control – Titanium. To change between the type of wire you are using you will need to press the firing button three times. In temperature control mode you can select between 200 – 600 degrees Fahrenheit (100 – 300 degrees Celsius) and in variable wattage mode you can select between 7 – 60W.

The RBA base is very easy to use and building coils is simple especially with all the available jigs out there. It's very similar to the one on the Subtank Mini and I didn't encounter any issues with dry hits or flooding, even with the supplied cotton.

Kanger Nebox battery doorA new feature with the Kanger Nebox is the six power profiles you can easily customize and choose from. You can select a temperature (in Fahrenheit or Celsius) and a wattage for each one of them and then switch between them when the device is on.

The Nebox tank

The tank is massive but it's not made from Pyrex glass and I don't know how it will react with some of those cinnamon or clove juices that I encountered problems in the past with some of my plastic clearomizers. I suspect it will also be quite difficult to fully clean, as you can't really rinse it properly with the electronics so close.

Another small con is the non-adjustable airflow which is mostly suited for direct lung hits (that's not a problem in my case, but it might be to all you Kayfun / Nautilus lovers).

In terms of performance it chucks clouds like a real champ and the temperature control feature works like a charm. It's compact, easy to use and with replaceable 18650 batteries (sold separately) you are looking at around 2-3 days of heavy vaping before adding more e-juice.
