In terms of performance the Davinci IQ dry herb vaporizer is one of the best in this category. Build quality is incredible, flavor is stellar and vapor production is top notch. The grid display looks futuristic and it gives the product a premium overall feel. We didn't encounter any issues with it and couldn't find any cons whatsoever. It also comes with a 10mm adapter so you can use it with glass rigs to further cool down the vapor.
We were more than impressed with the personal vaporizers we tested in the first few months of 2017. Well built, ultimate array of features as well as excellent flavor and vapor production. And while most of the time we would choose convection over conduction, the Davinci IQ dry herb vaporizer definitely made us reconsider our top lineup.
ONE OF THE BEST CONDUCTION DRY HERB VAPORIZERS
The Davinci IQ dry herb vaporizer is one of the latest devices to hit the market. Also it's hands down one of the best we ever got to review. Built from premium materials, this personal vaporizer goes head to head with industry leaders such as the PAX 3, the Firefly 2 or the Crafty. With a unique 51-LED display grid and ceramic zirconia air path, flavor on this bad boy is stellar. Vapor production is top notch as well.
The device is available in four lovely colors – Stealth, Gunmetal, Copper and Blue – and you even get the option to engrave it with your personal text or favorite quote. It comes with a 10 year warranty and inside the box you get the vaporizer itself, a micro-USB charging cable, a cleaning brush, a key chain tool, the zirconia mouthpiece, the user manual, and a small storage container.
POWERED BY A REMOVABLE 18650 BATTERY
The Davinci IQ dry herb vaporizer measures roughly 90 x 42 x 24 mm and weighs little under 140 grams. Unlike many other products in its category, the device is powered by a removable 18650 battery. We managed to get around 60 minutes vaping time from a 3000mAh high drain cell. What makes this vaporizer so unique is the zirconia air path and oven door. It has the same properties as glass, but multiple times stronger. This accounts for one of the purest experiences you can enjoy with a portable dry herb vape device.
Using the provided tool you can extract the air path from inside the vaporizer and even fill it up with some dry herb, to further enhance flavor. This part of the plant won't get burnt, but will rather infuse the vapor with more of that rich aroma. The ceramic oven is located at the base of the device and since it's a conduction vaporizer, you will need to firmly pack the dry herb mixture before closing the magnetic door.
THE SMART PATH FEATURE IS PRETTY COOL
Another thing we love about the Davinci IQ dry herb vaporizer is the Smart Path feature. By using the smart-phone app you can finely tune your vaping session for the course of 10 minutes. You can program it to start at a temperature of 365F for the first four minutes and then gradually increase that value to 375F for the remaining six. This gives you ultimate control on the overall experience and it helps you focus on flavor or vapor production.
There are total of four different Smart Path programs you can edit, however you can also use the Davinci IQ at a constant temperature throughout the session if you desire. There's also a boost feature that instantly pumps heat in the over, for as long as you keep your finger on the button. The LED grid will display temperature as it gradually increases.
FINAL THOUGHTS AND CONCLUSIONS
Another cool feature with this device is the hap tic feedback, and it will vibrate each time it reaches temperature or automatically shuts off. It doesn't take more than 16s to reach 230F, and the cut-off interval is set to 10 minutes.
In terms of performance the Davinci IQ is one of the best in this category. Build quality is incredible, flavor is stellar and vapor production is top notch. The grid display looks futuristic and it gives the product a premium overall feel. We didn't encounter any issues with it and couldn't find any cons whatsoever. i have a davinci iq and like so many before me i do have serious problem with it...it as stop heating,it doesn't work anymore after only 3 months of use it's dead. my davinci is registered and under the 10 years warranty but their is the big catch about their warranty they just make it very very difficult to get your device fixed,so much that i have decided not to have it fix and just take my lost and never buy anything from davinci again. whenever a company mistreat its customer after selling them default item should never be encourage by buying more from them. on top of that the device taste like s""t after a very short time of use because it's impossible to clean it properly. definitely not worth 275$+tx i'm using my arizer solo that i bought before and loving it better then davinci iq...buyers beware of poor services with davinci they really don't want to make you happy no love from davinci
Hi pat, I'm sorry to hear about your IQ. Ttb we didn't have any sort of issues with the IQ but we can't exactly use just one device for an extensive period of time. We often allow 1-2 weeks and then write the review. Maybe you should insist they replace it. After all you have the 10-year warranty.. they might try to slow you down but can't really stop you. Best regards, Dave
