Boundless CFV vaporizer

The Boundless CFV is a convection dry herb vaporizer that allows for precise temperature control and comes with a unique feature. The chamber is removable and includes four types of flavor rings. Three of the flavor rings are made of wood, while the fourth one is all quartz. The wood rings add some interesting notes to the vaporized botanical while the quartz ring helps improve vapor production.

The box is full of interesting goodies

Inside the cardboard presentation box you will find the Boundless CFV vaporizer, the micro-USB charger and the user manual. You also get five chamber screens, five mouthpiece screens, a brush tool, a packing tool, spare O-rings, a loading funnel, a chamber tool and three flavor rings. The unit came pre-fitted with a different color wood ring.

The design of this convection vaporizer

The Boundless CFV has an all plastic outer shell but it feels quite durable and well built. It fits the hand perfectly and has the perfect amount of weight to it. The grip is excellent and buttons are comfortable to use. The top cap with the rotating mouthpiece comes off by firmly twisting counter clockwise. It doesn’t have any magnets to keep in in place but has a nice tight fit. This is fully detachable for cleaning purposes and we recommend doing this once every 15 sessions. The CVF comes in two colors, black and metallic red.

The on/off button, display, adjustment buttons and micro-USB slot are placed on the front of the device. Since this is a convection vaporizer, the air intake slot is placed on the base. It almost works the same as the Utillian 721

Update: Because of it's high scores, the Boundless CVF has been rated as one of the Best Convection Vaporizers

Boundless CFV features

The Boundless CFV vaporizer uses convection heating and the temperature can be set between 140°F – 446°F or 60°C – 230°C. Heat up time is super-fast, the unit reaching 210°C in little under 30 seconds. A notification will be displayed on the screen once the device is ready to vape.

Battery life on this device however is a bit weird. The value displayed is inconsistent and most of the time seems to last forever at 25%. We got anywhere between 4 – 6 full sessions on a battery charge, which means 30 – 45 minutes. It all depends on the selected temperature and the type of draws. We recommend recharging the device after each four sessions just to avoid any nasty surprise.

The wood flavor rings add a bit of a kick to the flavor, but it’s something you don’t always notice. The quartz ring is supposed to add a bit of conduction to the mix and increase vapor production. It delivers a much cleaner flavor but vapor production to us was only consistent with taking the temperature up a notch.

Performance and final words

The Boundless CFV is a reasonably priced convection vaporizer. It’s build from good quality plastic and it lets you full adjust temperature. Flavor is pretty good and vapor is consistent only above 190 - 200°C. The wood and quartz rings are a nice added bonus; however the performance boost is not that noticeable. Battery lasts between 30 – 45 minutes and the botanical needs to be finely grinded for maximum effect. We also noticed it requires stirring every once in a while for uniform vaporization.
