Our Review On The Vaporesso Target Mini Kit

Vaporesso Target Mini Kit

We did talk about a small and stealthy vape starter kit a few months back when I reviewed the VPark 30W, but today I have something even tinier and with a lot more power. It’s called the Vaporesso Target Mini kit and it’s one of the cutest and best performing small form factor combos I’ve tried in the last years. It is available in two color options – black and white – and the build quality on it matches the price tag of around $50.

Vaporesso Target Mini boxAnother great thing about this mod and tank kit is the double child lock system, which is bound to prevent any toddler from getting access to your nicotine e-juice if you ever forget it in hand’s reach. It’s a bit counter intuitive but in order to get open the tank and fill it with liquid you will first have to unscrew the mouthpiece base by twisting in the opposite direction as you would normally do (clockwise). Once you take that out you can unscrew the top cap (counter-clockwise this time) and get access to the fill ports.

The Vaporesso Target Mini kit comes packed in a lovely white cardboard box and inside you will find the mod, the Guardian tank, a spare coil (MTL), a spare drip tip (MTL), a top quality charging cable, and a user manual. The mod is very tiny but feels solid and quite nice and balanced in the hand. It has carbon fiber insertions for good grip and the buttons are beautifully designed and positioned. The mod measures 36.5 x 24 x 58mm and the tank measures 55mm in height with a diameter of 22mm (you can also use any other 22m tank or RDA on top of the tiny battery).

On the top of the mod there’s a high quality stainless steel 510 connector with a spring loaded centerVaporesso Target Mini kits silver and black pin, and then going down the main side we see the fire button, the gorgeous 0.5″ OLED display and the three adjustment and mode buttons. The micro-USB charging slot is located on the base alongside some venting holes for the internal battery. And speaking about the battery, the Vaporesso Target Mini kit is powered by an internal 1,400mAh cell that should be enough for only a couple of hours of moderate vaping. It’s a mod that works between 5 – 40W, 200F-600F (100C-315C) and fires down to 0.15 Ohms in VW mode (0.1 Ohms in TC mode). It has temperature control for Ni, Ti and SS as well as two other different TCR options which you can input yourself (check the company’s website for the temperature chart for various materials).

The beauty of this starter kit is that it’s designed to work for both mouth to lung and direct lung style vapers and it comes with two different types of coils and mouthpieces. For the MTL version we do have a 1.5 Ohm CCELL-GD (ceramic) coil and a mouthpiece with a tighter draw, while for the DI version we have the 0.5 Ohm CCELL-GD SS (also ceramic) coil and the regular 510 SS drip tip with the looser draw. The tight draw, the high Ohms and the low wattage will definitely give you more autonomy on the Vaporesso Target Mini kit (around 2-3h of moderate vaping), while the 0.5 Ohm coil at around 35W will last for probably anywhere from 1h to 2h depending on your style of draws.

Vaporesso Target Mini top viewThe Guardian tank that comes inside the kit shares some features with the Cubis (leak proof, cup style, top airflow) however I didn’t get any gurgling or spit back from it in the 3 days I tested this kit. In terms of flavor and vapor production ceramic coils aren’t as good as their Kanthal or SS counterparts but I have to admit Vaporesso makes some of the best out there. It has a total capacity of 2ml and a weight of 60g. The flavor is quite nice, the throat hit is mild and vapor exceeded my expectations.

Vaporesso Target Mini kit is not designed as a device to be used all day and I see it perfect for a night out, a back-up for your main mod or something intended for moderate vapers looking for a stealthy and leak-proof combo. You get good flavor with it, good vapor production and I didn’t encounter any issues what so ever.
