Our Review On The Joyetech eVic VTC Mini 60W

Joyetech eVic VTC Mini 60W

Temperature control has really hit it off in the past few months and nowadays the majority of new variable wattage mods released on the market also feature this setting. However, there are a few devices that have really impressed the vaping community worldwide and one of them is by far the eVic VT, one of the hottest looking and best performing mods of 2015. But the people at Joyetech decided it was too big for some hands to handle (or perhaps too complicated, with that toggle at the top) so they released a new version of their best seller, this time in a smaller form factor but with the same excellent temperature control chip. Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, let me present to you the eVic VTC Mini 60W, Joyetech’s latest vaping toy.

eVic VTC Mini 60W cyan The eVic VTC Mini 60W comes in three color options (black, white, and cyan) and instead of a toggle at the top it has two plus/minus adjustment buttons for easier change of settings. The ‘C’ in the name stand for changeable battery and I have to say, the way this mod feels and performs at the moment it surpasses the experience I had with the original model.  It comes packed in a white cardboard box with a picture of the mod on the top and inside you will find the mod itself, a warranty card, a user’s manual, an eGo ONE Mega tank in matching color that comes with a Nickel coil inside, a spare Titanium coil, and a micro-USB charging cable.

The eVic VTC Mini 60W feels great in the hand and it’s almost the same size as the Kangertech Subox Nano, but the paint on it is very different from the eVic VT. It doesn’t have the shine or the race car look to it but it’s of very good quality and more durable. It doesn’t come with a built in battery so you will need to purchase one separately. It’s powered by a single 18650 and you should definitely go for a high drain model. The eGo ONE tank looks perfect on top of the mod and it’s also a very solid performer. The resistance range is between 0.10 and 3.50 Ohms in variable voltage mode while in temperature control you can use Nickel or Titanium from 0.05 Ohms to 1.0 Ohms.

On the top side of the mod we have theVic VTC Mini 60W blacke 510 connection that comes with buttery threads and a spring loaded center pin, so there won’t be any compatibility issues with any of your tanks. The device is made from good quality aluminum and it feels very sturdy and durable. On the main side we have the firing button, a generous and beautiful OLED display, two adjustment buttons and the micro-USB charging port (and yes, the buttons and the port do look like a small screaming man ? ). To remove the battery cover you simply need to stick your fingernail in the small seam at the base and pull. It’s held in place by magnets and it doesn’t rattle or fall off by accident.

On the eVic VTC Mini 60W display you can see the current temperature (in Ni or Ti mode), output wattage, atomizer resistance and remaining battery. To go through the menu you need to press the firing button 3 times and then select the setting you want to adjust. The whole process is far simpler than on the original eVic VT and works like a charm. You can adjust the temperature from 200-600°F or 100-315C and the wattage from 1W to 60W.

The eGo ONE Mega tank that comes inside the box is also a good match for the eVic Mini and it produces plenty of vapor. Both the airflow and the taste of the juice are way above average and comparable to some RDAs. It works with any of the Joyetech eGo ONE coil heads, and even with the CR-L rebuildable version. I particularly like the Ni200 coils because they give a better quality vapor than their Titanium counterparts.
