Review of the SideKick Portable Vaporizer from 7th Floor

SideKick Portable Vaporizer

We’ve tested some 7th Floor desktop vaporizers in the past like Da Buddha, but this actually the first portable device we got from them. It’s compact, powerful and comes with 21 heat settings as well as vibration feedback. The SideKick Portable Vaporizer is an amazing piece of engineering and it embodies everything we loved about other 7th Floor products.

Sidekick vaporizer box contents One of its top features is the stirring knob which helps loosen the dry herb mixture from the chamber walls as you vape. Constantly stirring it inside helps deliver great flavor without any charring or burning. It really makes all the difference and after you get used to it, it becomes a habit. Such a habit that you will tend to rub your other vaporizers in the same spot whenever you feel the flavor dimming out – true story.

The SideKick Portable Vaporizer comes packed in its own two zipper travel bag. Inside you will find the device itself as well as slots for the batteries as well as the glass mouthpiece, four rechargeable 18350 cells, an external wall charger, a cleaning brush, several tools, a can for oils, a wax container, the user manual and lubing oil for the mouthpiece. As you’ve probably figured it out, this vaporizer works with Sidekick vaporizer two 18350 batteries and it’s great for all those looking for extended or shared sessions. Once the cells become depleted you can replace them with new ones and continue with your vape. And you can definitely stack up on more than four already provided as these things come cheap.

When it comes to size, the SideKick Portable Vaporizer is quite bulky. It’s definitely bigger than your hand but it feels solid and well built. Apart from the buttons that have a bit of rattle, everything else is premium quality. You can get it in seven different colors and except for a grinder it comes packed with everything you need. As a small tip, always use the lubricant oil on the mouthpiece because it does tend to stick to the tube after longer sessions.

Once you take off the base panel to put the batteries you’ll notice the 18″ Vortex vapor cooling path. This is essentially a spiraled metallic pin that helps cool the air for a smoother experience. It does a great job at producing flavorsome vapor and you can also put in the freezer for a few hours before mounting it inside the device for your regular session. This accounts for even more rewarding results by adding bit of a chill to the vapor.Sidekick vaporizer mouthpiece

The SideKick Portable Vaporizer has 21 different temperature settings and it will vibrate to let you know when it has reached the desired value. The display is crisp and generous and it provides with info about the duration of your session, remaining battery and current temperature setting. It’s easy to use, reliable and the chamber holds up to 0.25g of dry herb mixture. As an interesting addition to the vaporizer you can get the SideKick Bubbler Mouthpiece, which uses water to further cool down the vapor. It’s only $50 and totally worth it, especially if you vape at higher temperatures.

All in all the SideKick Portable Vaporizer from 7th Floor products one of the best portable products we’ve tried in the last months. Vapor quantity might not be as generous as on the Crafty, but everything else is top notch. Flavor is incredible and the Vortex does an excellent job cooling down those clouds. The stirring knob is an excellent addition and combined with the ceramic chamber deliver outstanding results.
