Great MTL tank
In terms of performance the Vapefly Nicolas is one of the best tanks for mouth to lung. Flavor is spot on, vapor production is well above average and the coils tend to last for a very long time. With the 1.8 Ohm coil we managed to vape for around 6h on a full tank and battery only dropped down to 60%. We also found 6mg of nicotine to offer a great throat hit in this case.
8.4 Ecigguides Editors' Rating

If you enjoy mouth to lung vaping or you're a beginner looking for that tight draw like on a cigarette, then the Vapefly Nicolas tank is a really cool alternative. It is available in two color options – black and stainless steel – and is designed for great flavor.

WHAT YOU GET INSIDE THE BOX

Vapefly Nicolas tank The Vapefly Nicolas tank comes in a regular white cardboard presentation box and it has a total capacity of 3.0ml of e-liquid. Besides the 0.6 Ohm coil pre-fitted inside the device you also get a spare 1.8 Ohm coil, a replacement glass tube, spare O-rings as well as the user manual.

The 1.8 Ohm coil is best used between 9 – 13W and the experience is pretty similar to that of a Nautilus 2 coil. The 0.6 Ohm coil is intended to be used between 18 – 25W and gives slightly warmer vapor. Both these coils seem to last for a very long time and we didn't experience any sort of leaks or gurgling.

GENERAL FEATURES

The Vapefly Nicolas tank has a diameter of 22mm and a total height of 46mm. It uses a standard 510 Delrin drip tip and you can always swap it with one of your own. It has a convenient top fill design and the coil is press fitted in the chimney after unscrewing the base.

Vapefly Nicolas black and silver One of the most interesting features of this tank is the airflow adjustment ring. Basically it has two types of airflow. One is like on standard atomizers, where with a wide slot you can cover or leave open the five holes. The other is similar to that of the original Nautilus, where you have only one small circular slot that goes over any of the five holes. The ring is designed that when you use one system, the other one is fully closed.

With so much precision you can ultimately tweak the airflow to your personal liking and this makes the Vapefly Nicolas stand out from all other tanks. You could ultimately even direct lung it, with the air slots wide open and the 0.6 Ohm coil, but it's a thing we don't recommend. This greatly decreases the lifespan of the atomizer and gets the tank quite hot.Vapefly Nicolas coils

We tested out the 0.6 Ohm coils with up to 80% VG liquids and didn't get any dry hits at 20W. The 1.8 Ohm coils are better suited for 50-50 up to 70%VG and deliver a much cooler vape.
