E-juices are intended for vaping, however it can be a bit tricky to choose the right one for your setup. From the Vegetable Glycerin and Propylene Glycol ratio to the type of flavor, some work better in mouth to lung tanks while others shine when used with a rebuildable atomizer. Yes, I know taste is subjective, but understanding e few crucial e-liquid tips and aspects makes all the difference and it will help you enjoy flavors like never before.

WHAT ARE VG AND PG AND WHY ARE THEY IMPORTANT?

Premium E-liquid bottles VG or Vegetable Glycerin is a main component of any e-liquid. It has a thicker consistency in its purest form and a mildly sweet taste. It’s main purpose is to produce vapor and this is why higher the VG ratios account for bigger clouds;

PG or Propylene Glycol is another component of e-liquids and it has a much thinner consistency than VG. It’s an odorless, tasteless chemical that acts as a humectant and it’s responsible for flavor and throat hit. The higher the PG ratio the stronger the flavor and the throat hit;

Some people are sensitive to PG, therefore if you experience a sore throat or sore lungs even after vaping on zero nicotine, try switching to a max VG e-liquid;

VAPER’S TONGUE AND DEHYDRATION

Vaper’s tongue is a common issue associated with the use of personal vaporizers. If all of a sudden you stop feeling that delicious flavor of your e-liquid and there’s nothing wrong with the atomizer or coil don’t get alarmed. Just drink a glass of water and switch to a stronger flavor for a while. Everything will come back to normal.

Because of the dehydrating properties of Vegetable Glycerin it’s important to drink plenty of water (or other fluids) during the course of the day;

CHOOSE E-LIQUIDS SUITED FOR YOUR SETUP AND REMEMBER 70/30

High VG e-liquids (with a ratio of 80/20, 90/10 or 99% VG) are only intended to be used with RDAs (drippers), high power RTAs (like the Griffin 25mm) and RDTAs. These are very thick and can easily burn pre-built coils;

High PG e-liquids are intended to be used with clearomizers, small tanks and mouth to lung devices because they are a lot thinner and always wick well;  KILO e-liquid bottle

Tanks and RTAs what come with e-juice flow control are great because you can use them with everything from 50/50 VG/PG juices all the way to 80/20 VG/PG juice (even more in the case or RTAs);

E-liquids with a 70/30 VG/PG ratio can easily be used on all types of atomizers;

Tobacco flavors and menthols taste great on mouth to lung atomizers while dessert, fruit and bakery flavors are the best on direct lung devices;

TROUBLESHOOTING COIL PROBLEMS

Coil flooding is usually a sign that too much e-juice reaches the cotton.  In this case you can either use thicker liquid, close the juice flow control to the minimum or use more wicking material if you make your own builds;

Dry hits are usually a sign that to little e-liquid reaches the coil or the wattage is too high. In this case you can either use thinner e-juice, lower the wattage, open the airflow control to the max or use less cotton if you make your own builds;

VG tends to get even thicker when it’s cold outside. If you’re constantly getting dry hits in the winter time it’s probably a good idea to go for a lower VG concentration;
