We all know the very popular smoant from the Charon TS and Battle star box mods. They contacted us a week ago asking if we were interested in reviewing their new products. The Battlestar mini and the Smoant Cylon. It looks SMOANT created not only one, but two brand new best sellers.

Smoant Battlestar Mini 80W TC

Following in the footsteps of its bigger brother, the Smoant Battlestar Mini 80W TC is a mod definitely worth checking out. This single 18650 is intended for beginners and intermediate vapers. It has enough power to fuel up any mid range sub ohm tank and build quality is very good.

Measuring 81mm x 37mm x 24mm it’s compact, elegant and portable. Fits perfectly in your hand and button placement feels so natural. Comes with a 0.96 inch OLED display and has all the features of any modern day vaporizer. You can select between power mode, bypass, temperature control, TCR and DVW curve.

On top of the Smoant Battlestar Mini 80W TC we have a spring loaded 510 connector. You can use it with atomizers up to 24mm with no overhang. The fire button, display, adjustment buttons and micro-USB port are located on the main side. Battery door is magnetic and acts as the back panel for the device. Wattage range is between 1 - 80W and the menu system is very intuitive and user friendly. You also have TC mode for Nickel, Titanium, Stainless Steel and TCR. Temperature range is between 200 - 600F and minimum resistance is 0.05 Ohms. The mod reminds us of a VTC Mini, with super fast response times and great temperature control.

In terms of performance the Smoant Battlestar Mini 80W TC is a mid range device with plenty of features. It’s great for 0.4 - 0.5 Ohm resistances and 25W - 40W power outputs. Lower resistances and bigger wattages will drain the battery in no time, so it’s good to have this in mind. It’s the prefect mod for any mouth to lung tank you will want to take with everywhere you go. Lets see what it looks like when it arrives.

Smoant is back with a brand new mod and we’re looking at their new best-seller. The Smoant Cylon 218W is the where power meets style. This Zinc alloy and leather mod looks beautiful and comes with all features you might expect from a high end device. Fitted with a 1.3 inch color display this cloud chasing bad boy is bound to appeal to a wide range of vapers.

The Smoant Cylon 218W measures 90mm x 47mm x 32mm and look-wise reminds us a bit of the SX Mini G Class. This dual 18650 powerhouse offers spectacular performance at a very affordable price. Build quality is impressive and the chip is responsive and extremely accurate.

On top of the Smoant Cylon 218W we have centered 510 connector with a spring loaded pin. You can use it with atomizers between 22 - 30mm and it has enough power to chuck out clouds like a real champ. The color display, adjustment buttons and micro-USB charging port are placed on the face of the mod. The fire button is on the side and the slide to open battery door at the base. The display and user interface are really nice and the menu is pretty intuitive. It almost looks and feels like an airplane gauge or a car dashboard. It goes from 1 - 218W in power mode and from 200 - 600F in temperature control mode. It’s compatible with Nickel, Titanium, Stainless Steel and TCR. You can also fully adjust the wattage or temperature curves from within the menu.

Performance wise the Smoant Cylon 218W is a high power box mod built for clouds and and a great user experience. It’s also a very stylish device which can accommodate any size tank or RDA on top of it. It’s great for beginners but it’s more of a pro-level type of mod. The chip is highly accurate and build quality is stellar, especially if we consider the price tag.We cant wait to get our hands on this baby.
