Our Review On The Innokin Coolfire IV 100W TC Kit

Innokin Coolfire IV 100W TC Kit

Every once in a while I come across a great starter kit and I’m so glad people who make the switch to vaping these days have so many affordable choices of mods, tanks and e-liquids to keep them away from analogs for good. Today I want to talk to you about the Innokin Coolfire IV 100W TC Kit, a mod and tank combo that’s ideal for both beginners and intermediate vapers and which comes packed with everything required for a stellar cloud puffing experience.

Cool Fire IV Plus top viewThe mod looks very similar to the Cool Fire IV Plus or even the Cool Fire IV in terms of design and size but it does feature 100W of power, temperature control and a nifty 2A charging port. The mod comes packed in a black cardboard box with a silver sleeve on top and inside you will find the device itself, a very detailed quick start guide, and a micro-USB charging cable. In order to benefit from the 2A charging feature you will have to own or buy a separate charger as the kit doesn’t come with a wall adapter.

The iSub V tank comes fitted with a 0.5 Ohm Stainless Steel coil and inside the box you will also find a spare BVC coil (rated also at 0.5 Ohms), six spare O-rings, a nice small drip tip and a vape band to protect it from mechanical shocks. It’s made from stainless steel and Pyrex glass, measures 22mm in diameter and has a total capacity of 3.0ml of e-liquid. It is fully compatible with the iSub atomizer heads and you can also use the following: 0.2 Ohm, 0.5 Ohm and 2.0 Ohm standard iSub coils, the 1.0 Ohm Clapton coil, the 0.1 Ohm and 0.2 Ohm Ni200 coils, the 0.4 Ohm Titanium coils, as well as the 0.5 Ohm Stainless Steel coils included in the box. It is also a top filling tank, with a ‘no-spill coil swapping system’ that allows you access to the coil without getting your hands dirty (much like in the case of the Endura T18/T22).Cool Fire IV Plus mod white

The Coolfire IV 100W TC is powered by Innokin’s latest chip called the Aethon and it is very responsive as well as accurate. You can get it in different colors like black, white, blue or red and the design, materials used and build quality are exactly how you would expect from such a top rated manufacturer. The mod feels perfectly balanced and it really stands out especially with the matching color iSub V tank on top of it. It’s powered by an internal Li-Po  battery rated at 3300mAh and as I mentioned before it supports fast 5V/2A charging.

It has a spring loaded 510 connector on the top with a gold plated pin and on the main side we can see the fire button, the crisp OLED display, the two adjustment buttons and the micro-USB charging port (there’s no option for upgradable firmware unfortunately).

Cool Fire IV Plus kit whiteThe device can reach a maximum of 100W and it has a temperature control feature that works with Nickel, Titanium as well as with Stainless Steel. It has a maximum output current of 30A and a maximum voltage of 7.5V. The great thing about the Coolfire IV 100W TC is that it lets you adjust both the temperature and wattage when in TC mode (300-600F in 5F increments)I would suggest checking out the guide before using your kit, as the coils require a bit of priming before you fill the tank with e-liquid.

In terms of performance the Coolfire IV 100W TC is a great combo for beginners and intermediate vapers alike that delivers a very satisfying amount of vapor and flavor combined with a generous built-in battery, temperature control and a top filling tank. It’s very easy to use, it’s dependable and the build quality is really impressive in this price range. And while the iSub V is not exactly cloud chasing material, it produces a very nice direct lung vape and it works with such a wide range of coils (you can even do mouth to lung vaping on it). Everything works together just perfectly and I didn’t encounter any issues with it so far. It’s clearly the type of kit I would recommend to people looking for a sub ohm option with great battery life and an easy to use tank.
