Full review of the Apollo NANO Micro Kit

Apollo NANO Micro Kit

There are times when a tiny vape comes in handy, and it terms of size to performance ratio it’s hard to beat the Apollo NANO Micro Kit. It’s one of the coolest small form factor starter kits we’ve tried and it never ceases to amaze. It totally vanishes in the palm of your hand even with the tank on top and it packs an impressive punch at 50W. It’s the kind of mod that provides all the functionality you need and it will fit any pocket.

WHAT YOU GET INSIDE THE BOX

The Apollo NANO Micro kit comes packed in a standard white cardboard gift box and inside you will Apollo Nano Micro Boxfind the mod, the Nano tank fitted with a 0.6 Ohm coil, a micro-USB charging cable, a silicone vape band, the user manual and a spare 0.6 Ohm coil. It’s the ideal gift for a family member and a loved one and given the diversity of colors and ease of use it’s also one that will appeal to the ladies.

DESIGN AND FEATURES

The design reminds me a bit of the Innokin Cool Fire 4, just at a smaller scale and with the display placed on the side. On the top side there’s a spring loaded 510 connector that will accommodate any 22-23mm atomizer just perfectly. On the main side we have the power button placed at an angle and Apollo Nano Micro Box side viewthe two adjustment buttons used to change settings or go through the menu. The stainless steel design elements combined with the glossy plastic give this mod a very classy look.

The Apollo NANO Micro kit’s outer body is metallic and resistant to fingerprints. The build quality is quite impressive and it seems the company paid close attention to details. It feels like a premium product and it’s definitely worth the $55 price tag. The display is crisp and fairly bright, however given its size it’s going to be hard to read without your glasses.

SMALL BATTERY BUT IT DOES THE JOB

The small mod is powered by an internal 1200 mAh battery and it goes from 7W – 50W, firing down to 0.2 Ohms. There are five different modes to use it in, from regular power mode and Bypass to TC-Nickel, TC-Titanium and TC-Stainless Steel. The one thing you need to pay attention to is that the tank comes only with Kanthal coils. These cannot be used in temperature control mode, just in power and bypass modes. If you want to take full advantage of the TC features, you will need another tank with either Nickel, Titanium or better yet Stainless Steel coils.

IMPRESSIVE LITTLE TANK

The Nano tank that comes with the Apollo NANO Micro kit is made from stainless steel and Pyrex glassApollo Nano Micro kit and has a total capacity of 1.8ml. The coils act also as the chimney and you’re basically filling it up with e-juice just between the coil and the glass walls. However, given the case, we didn’t encounter any leaking, flooding or other issues. It’s a design we’ve first noticed on the Aspire Cleito and it really makes this tank easy to use and to clean. The 0.6 Ohm atomizer heads are perfectly balanced for this type of combo and they give the best performance between 32-37W, depending on the type of juice.

PERFORMANCE AND CONCLUSIONS

In terms of performance the Apollo NANO Micro kit is a total revelation and a pleasure to vape. You get thick consistent clouds and the flavor is very good. On the down side, the 1200 mAh battery is going to only last a couple of hours at 35W-40W, but enough to get you through a moderate day at the office. You will need however to take a bottle of e-juice with you because the 1.8ml tank will need refilling at least once every two hours.
