Our Review On The VaporFi Vice Starter Kit

VaporFi Vice Starter Kit

I know for a fact that there are vapers out there who would like to experiment with sub ohm coils or with devices far more powerful than a simple eGo pen but are intimidated by the complex box mods with fancy displays and adjustment buttons we have today. Well, good news because now you can have just that with the brand new VaporFi Vice Starter Kit, an advanced eGo style device that’s able to work with resistances of 1.2 Ohms as well as with resistances of 0.5 Ohms.

VaporFi Vice tankThe device is very simple to use and everything is done by a press of a button. It’s powered by a powerful eGo style battery with a 510 connector on the top and it’s packed with everything needed for an incredible vaping experience.

The VaporFi Vice Starter Kit comes packed in a white and green cardboard box, roughly the same as in the case of many other of the company’s products and inside you are going to find the fully assembled mod and tank with a coil head already installed, a spare 1.2 Ohm coil head, a spare 0.5 Ohm coil head, a micro-USB charging cable, a wall adapter, and a user’s manual.

The first thing you’ll notice about the VaporFi Vice Starter Kit is its compact size and superb design. The shiny metallic finish pairs perfectly with the generous e-liquid slots in the tank and also with the Pyrex drip tip on the top. It feels like a high quality product and it performs accordingly. And I know there are a few other similar products out there, but with VaporFI you get what you pay for and the device comes with a 30 day money back guarantee and a 90 day commercial warranty. That’s great to know, especially if you encounter problems with the kit or you decide it’s not the right product for your vaping needs.

The battery itself is tubular in shape and it has only one round button that’s backlit by an LED. It has a VaporFi Vice vape pen silver510 connector on the top, which means it can also be used with other tanks, as long as they have a maximum diameter of 19mm. On the base there’s a venting hole for the built in cells and in order to turn the device on or off you will need to press the firing button five times. The you simply have press the button with each inhale and the light is going to notify you when it’s time to recharge your battery.

The battery on the VaporFi Vice Starter Kit is recharged via the micro-USB port located on the side, and this comes with an indicator light to show you when it reaches 100%. It has a total capacity of 2,200mAh and it takes around 2 – 2.5h to completely recharge it with the supplied wall adapter. The battery automatically detects the type of coil you mount inside the tank and regulates the output power accordingly.

The Vice Tank is a 19mm in diameter and it can hold up to 2.5ml of e-liquid. It’s made from solid stainless steel and it has an airflow adjustment ring on the base to help the user switch from mouth to lung hits and a tighter draw to direct lung hits with the slots wide open. For the mouth to lung hits it’s recommended to use the 1.2 Ohm coil, as for direct lung hits the 0.5 Ohm coil.

VaporFi Vice coilRefilling the tank with e-juice or replacing a burnt coil is done with great ease, with every procedure being explained in the user’s manual. A coil tends to last, depending on your vaping habits, from 1 week up to 2 or even 3 weeks. Once it doesn’t produce vapor or you feel a persistent burnt taste it’s time to change. You can buy spare coils in packs of 5 for around $20 but I do recommend trying them first jus to see if you’re better off with the 1.2 Ohm version or the 0.5 Ohm version. As a small side note, the vapor generated with the 0.5 Ohm coils tends to be a lot hotter; also the e-liquid gets vaporized at a much higher rate so you will have to refill more often.

All in all, the VaporFi Vice Starter Kit is an excellent device for beginners and intermediate vapers and it excels due to its simplicity. It’s very easy to operate and it produces some incredible clouds, especially with high VG e-liquids.
