Full review of the Smok TFV12 Cloud Beast King

Smok TFV12 Cloud Beast King

If you’re the type of vaper who’s looking for massive clouds and excellent flavor, you can finally achieve this without fiddling around with an RDA. The all new Smok TFV12 Cloud Beast King is here and it’s really impressive. Finally a tank you can take up to 300W without any issues and match the power of any state of the art mod.

Older versions like the TFV4 or the TFV8 are performing great even today, but the Smok TFV12 Cloud Beast King is an absolute fog machine. We were more than amazed to see that vapor coming off it is not super-hot even at 200W. It provides a smooth and flavor rich experience and it’s definitely something for the amateur cloud chasers.

SMOK TFV12 box contents The Smok TFV12  comes with three types of coils, a replacement glass tube, a bag of spare O-rings, vape bands and gaskets, and the user manual. The coil you’ll get inside the tank is the V12-T12 0.12 Ohm bad boy, which is rated from 130 to 200W. This is ideal for producing massive clouds, but it also goes through e-liquid like a warm knife through butter.

The V12-X4 is another coil you’re going to get with the tank and this one is a quadruple version  rated at 0.15 Ohms. This is more for flavor and you can use it up to 170-180W. Last but not least, there’s the V12-Q4 quadruple coil that is excellent for flavor and doesn’t go through e-liquid that fast.

According to SMOK’s website, you can also get the TFV12 tank in RBA mode, where instead of the pre-built coils it comes with two RBAs. From what we heard these do an excellent job and the good news is you can use them in single coil mode too. Unfortunately we only got the 3-coil version, so we can’t give you an objective perspective of the performance on these RBA heads. However we promise to update the review as soon as we test them out.

SMOK TFV12 coilsThe Smok TFV12  is a big sub ohm tank. It has a base diameter of 25mm, however in its middle point surrounding the glass the diameter is 27mm. The total height is 70mm and it has a weight of just 90 grams. It’s built from good quality stainless steel and Pyrex glass and feels solid and durable. You can get it in four different colors, and besides Black, Silver and Gold there’s also a 7-color “chameleon” paint-like model. E-liquid capacity on this cloud machine is 6.0ml.

Like all other tanks from the TFV series, the Cloud Beast King has the swivel top-fill mechanism and it’s something we definitely enjoy. It makes refilling a super easy job and in the case of this bad boy is something you’ll be doing quite often. The tank also comes with adjustable airflow on the base and it’s probably a good idea to leave it wide open when vaping at over 180W.

In terms of performance the name Smok TFV12 Cloud Beast King says it all. It’s the type of tank that SMOK TFV12 top viewcan fill up a whole room with vapor in less than a minute and flavor off it is excellent. It even manages to keep up the same good flavor even at high wattages and that’s definitely a pro in our books. We didn’t get any dry hits or leaks and we were more than satisfied with the overall build quality and features. It’s clearly not a tank for everyone. However if you love big clouds and don’t have a problem going through more than 20ml of e-juice daily than it’s a pretty fun toy.
