Our Review On The Vaporfi Bolt RDA
If you are passionate about flavor and you are looking for a solid and good performing rebuildable dripping atomizer then the Vaporfi Bolt RDA might just be your future vaping tool. Made from good quality stainless steel and designed for dual coils, this bad boy can chuck out clouds like a champ and deliver massive flavor. It's the company's latest rebuildable atomizer and it has received a lot of positive reviews so far.
The Vaporfi Bolt RDA comes packed in a very small white and green cardboard box (very similar in size to the one you usually find on meds) and inside you will find the fully assembled atomizer, a small blue screwdriver and three spare pots screws, 3 feet of 28 gauge Kanthal, two silica wicks, four spare O-rings and a warning card.
Because RDAs are destined for advanced users it's highly advisable to order one if you have some basic understanding about electricity and you are familiar with Ohm's Laws. This atomizer shouldn't be used with a mechanical mod unless it's powered by a high drain battery and the build tested with an Ohm meter before firing the device for the first time. With a regulated mod (or variable wattage mod) beginners can also put their creativity and DIY skills to the test by making their own coils and experiencing flavor and vapor on a whole different level.
The Vaporfi Bolt RDA measures 22mm in diameter so it's compatible with a wide majority of box mods
as well as tube mods and it comes with an adjustable 510 copper pin. The design is pretty original and I love the way it looks with that futuristic top cap, like something out of a Starcraft video game. It's made out of four individual stainless steel pieces – the drip tip, top cap, barrel and base and it comes with two negative posts and a positive post in the middle, separated by the deck through some insulating material. The barrel has two pairs of holes for the airflow but you can only cover one on each side at a time, so you can only use this device in dual coil mode.
The airflow adjustment system makes for a pretty restrictive draw with only one hole on each side open but this really intensifies the flavor from my point of view. However one thing I don't like is the metallic piece that's part of the deck and used to cover the airflow holes, because it's located right in front of the positive post. This makes it a bit tricky to handle the Kanthal leads as you're mounting the coils, but you can easily go around or twist the wire upwards.
The Vaporfi Bolt RDA comes with a generous juice well and slot headed screws for the posts so it makes it very easy to access the holes for the wire. These too are generous in diameter and one could easily fit a twisted coil or even a clapton through there without much of a struggle.
In terms of vapor production and especially in terms of flavor, the Vaporfi Bolt RDA was the star of this week's show at the office and a pleasure to vape on. It looks and feels like it would last a lifetime and performance wise it's clearly something to put in a top 10.
