The Phix pod ecig kit sells for around $35 and for this you get the battery, a tobacco pod, the charger and a user manual. The charger is proprietary and you wonâ€™t be able to use anything else to recharge the battery. However it gets the job done in little over 30 minutes.

Magnetic connectors

The first thing I noticed about this pod style e-cigarette is that the connectors are magnetic. Whenever you want to plug it in for a quick recharge you just need to get the battery close to the charger and it snaps right in. The pods are also magnetic and they make a very good connection after you slide them in. You can easily pull them out if you want to, but they will never get loose by themselves.

The PHIX battery

The Phix pod ecig has a built in 280mAh battery. This is enough to last you anywhere between 180 - 220 puffs, but it all depends on your personal style of vaping. On colder days the battery loses its charge a lot faster so itâ€™s probably a good idea to keep inside a warm pocket.

The pods have a capacity of 1.5ml and they last for a very long time in comparison to similar products. Each pod has 50mg of nicotine and delivers around 400 puffs. The coils are ceramic and have a resistance of 1.5 Ohms. They give very good flavor and the throat hit is so satisfying. There are a total of five different pods for the Phix, ranging from tobacco to fruits and desserts. Tobacco Ice is one of our favorites and itâ€™s a very natural mix between dry tobacco and just the right amount of menthol.

Phix pods are available in 4-packs and you can buy them in either one flavor or the mix variety. Butterschotch is amazing for anyone with a sweet tooth and the new 'Infuzion Cool Melon' works incredibly well on a hot summer day. There's also Spearmint to choose from, Original Tobacco and Hard strawberry. All these pods come in 5% nic salt concentration, which is about 50mg. Pricing is $19.99 for a pack, however you do get a 15% discount if you sign up for a weekly or a monthly plan.

Final words

The Phix pod ecig is very well built, delivers great flavor and vapor production is pretty similar to a cigarette. The 50mg nic salts pods do an excellent job at keeping you satisfied and considering a full charge takes around 30 minutes you will always have it ready. Airflow has just the right tightness for that authentic mouth to lung draw and the 1.5ml pods are some of the biggest in this category.
