Our Review On The Youde IGO W3

Another stainless steel jewel from Youde, the IGO W3 is a lovely rebuildable dripping atomizer with an adjustable airflow system that will test your coil building abilities to the maximum. Measuring 22mm in diameter, it is shipped in a black cardboard box with a few additional goodies including two spare O-rings, four Kanthal wires, an extra post, four wicks made from fiberglass, and an insulating ring. The build quality is certainly top notch and the design if rather unique. You can clearly see the engraved “UD” logo on the side of the unit and the airflow holes. The drip tip has also borrowed the same design lines and it looks perfectly on the W3.

igo_w3_2The airflow adjustment system is revolutionary and features combinations for both dual coil and quad coil builds. It consists of four long holes for quad coils and two pairs of two small holes for any dual coil configurations. The holes on the exterior ring are paired with four holes drilled in the well and the mechanism works like a charm. The only problem is when using the IGO W3 in single coil mode, since you always have an extra hole uncovered which results in a loss of flavor.

The IGO W3 consists of three main elements: the top cap, the drip tip and the base with the raised outer rim. The top cap and the base are insulated with two O-rings that give a nice fit. It has an exterior diameter of 22mm and a total height of 30mm. It is connected to your mod via the 510 threading. The deck features a single central positive post and four surrounding negative posts fitted with Philips screws.

Building and mounting your coils doesn’t take a lot of time and effort, especially if you are already used to the whole process. The Kanthal wire is easily passed through the holes in the posts and we didn’t encounter any problems with them. It is probably the ideal RDA to match Innokin’s latest mechanical mod the 134 MX-Z and top to bottom it looks phenomenal.

In term of vapor production and flavor it all depends on the coils and the type of e-liquid you’re using. We managed to make a 1.2-Ohm quad coil configuration in around 20 mins and used some 70% VG strawberry flavored e-juice. The vapor came out cool and delicious and the airflow mechanism worked flawlessly.

The IGO W3 is an excellent RDA for all those looking for a simple rebuildable to make good use of their coil building talents. It is easy to use and it’s worth every buck. We were more than impressed with the looks and performance.
