Our Review On The Joyetech eVic AVP

Joyetech_logoFirst announced back in November 27th, 2012, the Joyetech eVic or ‘Vapor Intelligent Cigarette’ is the first ‘intelligent’ type device to hit the electronic cigarette market. Since its debut is has built a name for itself all over the vaping community and it has become one of the most iconic smart e-cigarettes. As opposed to other models that are updated with each new version, the eVic has rewritable firmware through which it gets its new features and improvements.

The device comes packed in a simple cardboard box with extra film wrapped around it. Inside the components are nicely placed and it also comes with a manual for the MVR software you can download online besides information about the eVic itself. From what we can see, it seems that Joyetech has put a lot of effort in designing the manual and packaging of the device and possibly set a standard for complexity in this matter.

The eVic is a tube-shaped device with a simple design and over the average length. But despite its size, it’s quite light and comfortable to hold mostly due to its signature texture that both grippy and smooth. The device has a metal exterior casing and it features a durable plastic control head. The threads for the end cap and front cap are smooth and it’s crafted around the size of an 18650 battery that fits flawlessly. The end cap has a vent hole and a nice strong spring.

Like we’ve seen on other devices, the eVic comes with the ever popular 510 threading, along with a wider set of threads below the atomizer connector that can accommodate some eGo accessories as well.

The control head appears like a dark band around the circumference of the device and adds the overall slick look of the eVic. It has a 64 x 48 OLED wide vertical display screen (half of the circumference of the control head) that is very clear and very easy to read. It displays the current voltage, wattage, resistance in the atomizer, remaining battery life, date/time, how long your draw is, and a puff limiter and counter. It also comes with a built in computing processor that works with the MVR software which will help you keep track of your vaping experience. The eVic will connect to your computer or laptop through the included micro-USB cable. The port is covered by a plastic cap that can be pulled out easily. Another use of the USB cable is to update the device’s firmware and you can also use it in order to recharge the battery (quite a unique feature among AVPs).

When it comes to performance, ‘excellence’ is the appropriate word that can describe the eVic’s overall functionality. The voltage is easily changed in 0.1V increments, while the firing button feels sturdy and the adjustment ring is quite responsive. With the eVic you will be able to enjoy your favorite lush clouds of vapor for as longs as the whole battery charge.

Overall, it’s one of the milestone devices on the market and after using it for a few times you’ll understand what the fuss round it is all about. It’s an AVP that delivers incredible performance and with the help of Joyetech’s MVR software you’ll be able to keep track of your vaping for months. Also, this device is one of the best if you want to make the transition from cig-a-likes to the more advanced personal vaporizers.

All in all, it’s quite legendary device but you have to try it in order to understand what the fuss is about. It delivers outstanding performance and with the help of the MVR software you’ll be able to track your vaping habit even to the last detail. It is also a very good device if you want to make the transition from regular or eGo ecigs to the world of advanced personal vaporizers.
