Our Review On The SmokTech Galileo

SmokTech GalileoFamous for their “Magneto” a mod that uses magnets instead of springs on the firing mechanism, the people at SmokTech came up with a brand new mechanical mod that made quite an impression in the vaping community. With a brushed stainless steel finish, the Galileo is a very stylish telescopic mechanical mod that allows the use of multiple flat top batteries like 16340, 18350, 18500, and 18650’s.

It comes in the usual cardboard box alongside with an instructions manual and the first thing you’ll notice is that it has a very durable and attractive construction with the threads somewhat smoother than on the Magneto. Moreover, just like the Magneto, it features a bottom mounted magnetic firing button but this one feels a lot better, like the ones you get on more expensive devices. This button comes with a nice locking mechanism that prevents it from misfiring and also allows you to keep the mod upright on your desk without having to worry.

The Galileo is made of three distinctive parts: the bottom cap with the magnetic switch, the body and the top cap, which screws on the body in adjustable length to allow for the use of different batteries. On the top you will notice the 510 connection, and also an eGo style connection, making this mod highly compatible with almost any clearomizer or tank on the market today. You will also spot the two vented air holes on the body that prevent the battery from overheating.

The mod even though it looks and feels solid, it’s quite lightweight and with a battery inside feels very comfortable between your fingers. It’s also a very small and stealthy device especially when used with small batteries. As a side note it does accept a kick also.

By far, one of the best features of the Galileo is its magnetic switch that, because it’s smaller in diameter than the one on the Magneto, and because it protrudes farther from the body, it feels much smoother to operate and it’s built to last.

Pair this mod with a decent RBA or RDA and you’ll be puffing on clouds in an instant. Performance wise, much like the Magneto, this mod delivers constant and solid vapor with a very nice throat hit. It’s very simple to operate and it’s the perfect choice for any beginner or intermediate looking for a cheap but reliable source of good quality vaping.

Here is brief list of all the features of the Galileo:
