Eleaf iStick 60W TC Full Starter Kit
Powerful TC mod for the masses
In terms of performance the iStick 60W TC does its job like a true winner and without any major flaws. Temperature control works great with both Nickel and Titanium but you can also use the mod in regular variable wattage mode with the 0.3 Ohm coil. Vapor production is great and the tank comes with adjustable airflow so it can suit all styles of vaping. As in the case of past iStick products, you get plenty of value for the price you're paying, so this is a great deal.

Our Review On The Eleaf iStick 60W TC Full Starter Kit

As you probably know this already, I'm a big fan of the iStick series, and I've tested the majority of these devices. I'm still a big fan of the iStick 30W (an ideal pair for the Mini Nautilus, for all beginners out there looking for a great MTL combo), the iStick 40W (one of the cheapest alternatives to experiment with temperature control) and the iStick 100W (one of the cheapest alternative for amateur cloud chasing).

Eleaf iStick 60W TC black side viewWell, today I have a brand new product to review and this time it's a kit – the Eleaf iStick 60W TC and the Melo 2 Sub Ohm Tank combo, a reasonably priced temperature control alternative that's perfect for both beginners and intermediate users. This kit contains everything needed for a great vaping experience except for a 18650 battery and a bottle of e-liquid, so without further ado let's check out this brand new e-smoking toy from Eleaf.

The device comes packed in a lovely white cardboard box and inside you are going to find the iStick 60W TC, the Melo 2 Sub Ohm Tank (which comes with three coils – standard, Nickel and Titanium), a user's manual and a micro-USB charging cable. This new iStick has borrowed the swappable battery feature from its bigger brother, the 100W version and it now has the 510 connector right on the middle.

The first thing you are going to notice about the new iStick 60W TC is the improved ergonomics and Eleaf iStick 60W TC and tank how natural it feels in your hand. On the top side there's the stainless steel 510 connector with the spring loaded central pin, and moving down on the main side we notice the firing button, the OLED display, the elongated adjustment button (it incorporates both the plus and minus) and the button used for switching between three operating modes (variable wattage or temperature control for Ni and Ti). On the base there's the micro-USB charging port and the novelty about this device is that the faces come off and can be replaced with different colored versions.

On the corner of one of the faces there's a small groove to help you take off the battery cover. This is held in place by four magnets and I haven't encountered any issues with it so far. Right near the negative pin for the battery there's a small gap through which you can insert something pointy like a screw driver and take out the other face of the mod, that's also magnetic (different color faces can be bought separately).

The iStick 60W TC doesn’t come with a battery, but you can use any high drain 18650 you might have lying around to power up this bad boy. The display is very intuitive and it resembles the one on the 40W version. It shows the remaining battery, atomizer resistance, and depending on the case, output wattage, or temperature and output wattage. The buttons are clicky and very responsive and using the mod feels nice and natural.

Eleaf iStick 60W TC top viewThe Melo 2 Sub Ohm tank that comes in the kit is an improved version of the original Melo and now it can also be used with Eleaf's brand new rebuildable coils (rather similar to the ones from the eGo ONE series from Joyetech). It comes with a standard EC head rated at 0.3 Ohms, a Titanium head rated at 0.50 Ohms and a Nickel head rated at 0.15 Ohms. It has a total capacity of 4.5ml and it can be refilled from the side. It has a diameter of 22mm and a total height of around 65mm.
