When it comes to making vape builds at home, you only need two things: a skillful set of hands and the right tools. And while your set of skills will slowly but surely develop through practice, tools are something you either have lying around the house or purchase. Surely many of you already have drill bits, screw drivers, tweezers, pliers, scissors and  nail clippers to start off with, however a good DIY coil building kit makes all the difference.

SAY GOODBYE TO MESSY VAPE DESKS

DIY coiling kitImagine having all of your vape tools carefully placed inside a silicone rubber case.  You can easily carry it  around wherever you go and start building as soon as you have some time for your hobby. No more searching each drawer for a drill bit or a Philips head screwdriver, no more misplaced pliers and scissors and no more vape stuff slowly piling up on the desk.

And since we're talking about a good DIY coil building kit I know there are a few alternatives like the Halcyon Essentials Set, the Geek Vape 521 DIY Master Kit V2 or the GoodBuild Tool Kit, but for me it's the Coil Master DIY Kit V2 that became the personal favorite. It comes packed in a very cool looking foam/rubber case, with dual zippers on the edge and all the tools sitting snug inside foam cutouts.

COILERS ARE A BIG IMPROVEMENT OVER STANDARD $2 JIGS

With the Coil Master DIY Kit V2 you get 10 awesome tools for building your coils at home, and there are also two compartments in the case to hold your spare 18650 batteries when on the go. To be honest I wasn't a big fan of coiling jigs made up of countless parts. I just used the simple $2 stick jig most of  time, however after playing with their micro coiler tool and those rods, I really started to notice an improvement when building. My coils have become similar to the pre-made ones and I'm happy I can mount them while they sit snugly on the rod. The kit includes six different diameter rods (1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm, 3.5mm, and 4.0mm), the micro coiler tool and a separate pouch for easy storing.

WHAT ELSE IS INCLUDED WITH YOUR DIY COIL BUILDING KIT

Besides the coiler, you get the standard Ohm meter – powered by two AA batteries - that's ideal for testing builds used on mechanical mods. Also a pair of diagonal pliers for cutting any type of coil, a pair of needle-nose pliers to help you bend the wire or access different portions of the building deck, a high quality pair of folding stainless steel scissors, two precision screwdrivers, and elbow tweezers to carefully place the cotton in those tiny juice wells, a ceramic tweezers to squeeze the coil while heating it up and a 24AWG Kanthal wire spool.DIY coil building kit

Except for the Ohm meter that feels a bit cheap, everything else is built to last and the quality  - especially on the scissors and the screwdrivers - is incredible. I've been using this kit for a couple of months together with my Coil Master 521 Tab and honestly I didn't need anything else. From simple micro coils to Twisted, Claptons or Tiger builds, it offers the freedom and the confidence every DIY vapers needs.

IS IT WORTH THE MONEY?

The value of a DIY coil building kit is its strongest selling point. If you decide to buy everything you get in the case individually, it easily rounds up to $85 - $100. This means that for a price of just under $45 it's a pretty sweet deal, especially in the case of beginners who just decided to invest in a rebuildable atomizer. You get all the tools you need plus something extra and it will totally help you build like a pro.
