Despite its early launch, it has been quite popular among smokers trying to kick the habit already since it looks, feels and even delivers the “high” a real cigarette gives without the harmful side effects.

Both an e-cigarette and a real cigarette look harmless. But that is where their similarities end.

When one inhales the vapor released by the e-cigarette, one inhales the nicotine. Depending on the levels of concentration a user gets, the levels of nicotine he inhales will also vary. The solution that turns into vapor with the help of the atomizer consists of USP grade propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin and flavorings, aside from the nicotine already mentioned. Flavorings vary from fruit types to chocolate, vanilla, coffee and mint. Clearly, the e-cigarette smoke released does not contain the toxic chemical cocktail found in tobacco or real cigarette smoke.

Most public places now enforce a smoking ban and designate smoking areas for the smokers, usually outside, in places of open air. This can pose a problem during colder or winter months. With e-cigarettes, you can “puff” even indoors!
